Opening Discovery & Adventure Zone Inc. wasn’t a solo journey—it was a team effort from the very beginning.
From the brainstorming and paperwork to the paintbrushes and problem-solving, every step of launching DAZI was supported by a team of incredible people. Friends and family stepped in with encouragement and practical help. Future employees brought passion, patience, and their belief in the vision. Even the team at Jet Child Care provided insights and guidance that made a real difference.
Each person brought something unique—different strengths, perspectives, and skills—but all shared a common goal: to create a safe, inspiring, child-centered space. It reminded me of something simple and profound:
We’re wired to work together.
Children come into the world with a deep drive to connect. They form playgroups, create roles in games, and naturally seek out companions in their explorations. These early relationships help shape who they are and how they understand the world.
At DAZI, we believe that our job as educators isn’t just to teach children what to learn—it’s to guide them in learning how to live well with others. How to listen, take turns, solve problems, share leadership, and contribute meaningfully to their community.
Just like the team that helped open our doors, children thrive when they know their voice matters and that their contributions are valued.
As we settle into our new rhythm at DAZI, we’ll continue to nurture that sense of teamwork, responsibility, and shared purpose—because today’s group play is tomorrow’s civic participation. Every small moment helps build the foundation for responsible, respectful citizens.
And if the DAZI journey has taught me anything, it’s this: we’re never meant to do it alone.
We’d love to hear from you!
How does teamwork show up in your family? Do you have special traditions, routines, or “team roles” that make your household run smoothly? Whether it’s taking turns setting the table, planning a camping trip, or simply encouraging one another through daily ups and downs, your stories matter. Feel free to share with us—we’d love to include your experiences in the DAZI spirit of connection and community.
